About Our Bookstore
Our bookstore sells used books, magazines, various types of media, and book-related and library-themed items. It is located off the Richland Library lobby. We are supported by an extensive team of volunteers. To join our sales team or be considered for the board, apply on the Richland Public Library's volunteer website.
We keep a good mix of books in our retail space, and we try to turn them over at a reasonable pace so our regular customers have new books to find. Our prices are always low. We always have a few free items. Check us out. You need never leave empty-handed.
The citizens of our community continue to be very generous in donating books for re-sale. We gratefully accept all donations except for items that we have learned do not sell. We appreciate your cooperation in not bringing those items to us (See the Donate section for more details.) Thank you.
All the funds generated through the bookstore, except for those spent on minimal operating expenses, are used to support library programming. Buying books at the Friends’ bookstore is truly a win-win situation.

Book Sales
Book sales occur in the Spring and Fall. We put out thousands of books at our everyday low prices. There are often treasures to be found and, overall, these are wonderful opportunities to get some great books.
When we have leftover books, we seek to find others in the community who can use them. In the past, we have contributed books to Goodwill, seniors, and programs collecting books for soldiers who are overseas.
